As July 4 draws near, I think about last year. I was so excited because I’d been invited to have a booth at the “Evening With Michelle Malkin” event sponsored by MomforAmerica. At the Marriott in D.C. no less!!! They wanted to help promote my Johnny Vic series! Since then, I’ve “met” on the computer Tabatha Ridley and her amazing son, Patrick Torma. Why is he amazing? It’s because as a middle school student (in Virginia), he wrote and published a coloring and activity book entitled, “Counting on the Constitution.”
It’s well done, with full-color glossy cover. He’s caught the eye of some folks in D.C. and has since been asked to be a “junior member” for the newly formed “Constitutional Champions”. (www.constitutionalchampions.org) And, “Counting on the Constitution” isn’t even his first book! He created a coloring book entitled “Alphabet for American Children” that includes American history facts for each letter of the alphabet. To find “Counting on the Constitution” google the following: patrick torma, counting on the constitution.
As I celebrate July 4, 2011, I’m going to pray that there are a lot more ‘Patricks’ out there who understand and appreciate the importance of our Constitution.
